Hi, I know it's been 1,000 years since I bought this, but I can't
afford to buy a new copy & up until Vista, it worked just fine--
installed like a champ under XP & 98. Now I try to install it & I get
a message telling me my key is wrong.

It is possible I'm making one mistake as I type it in; the label tore
off years ago & I tried to rejoin the two pieces, buggering the middle
number. It might be a 5 or a 3. I try both, but neither one works,

I really don't want to upgrade to anything more sophisticated because
that translates into "more difficult." I used Frame to create user's
manuals & indexes & it worked smashingly. It took me a long time to
learn how to use it & I had to bring in an instructor to give me & my
employees a two-day seminar on it.

My company no longer exists & I am now disabled. I can't afford to
trade up & I don't have the time or cognitive abilities to learn a lot
more features, which I'm sure it now has.

I can't get to a place within the Adobe website where I can ask this
question, so I'm trying here. I am in a rehabilitation program,
studying indexing, & plan (or hope) to use FrameMaker again.

When I complete training, the agency that's funding my training will
then buy me the software & office equipment, etc., I need to become
employed. I will probably buy Frame 10 or whatever the newest version
is at that time. But for now, I have to keep things really simple.

Any help or advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

If you registered the product, your serials are visible to you in the
customer support area. BUT... I don't know if 5.5 will work in Vista.
Officially its requirements are Win 95 or later, or NT 4... but that was a
long time ago.
